An Evening at Camp

After a busy Friday night celebrating Halloween, a laid-back Saturday was much needed. The girls wanted to go somewhere to grab a few cocktails and relax, so Camp Bar was the perfect pick.

Camp Bar is a rustic spot with an award-winning atmosphere tucked away in the Shorewood area. When you step through the door, you are instantly transported to a cabin in the woods, complete with a roaring fireplace, buffalo-plaid chairs, and moose-head decor. We took a seat in the “Cabin” portion of the bar, and downed handfuls of salty popcorn and sampled sips from their extensive menu of old-fashions. All the while, I temporarily felt transported out of the Midwest suburbia and into a much woodsier escape (the camouflage army jacket I was wearing certainly fed into the ambiance).

I would definitely recommend this spot for a laid-back evening out, and I will definitely be making a trip back (camo in tow).
