On Election Day, I always try to incorporate some sort of fun celebration into the day. Since I was little, I can remember my mom laying out decorated cookies or other treats to munch on as we watched the results stream in. Even when my candidate of choice didn’t win, I always look back with fond memories of each election year.
Therefore, this year I decided to make a “patriotic” version of root-beer floats to sweeten up the evening with my friends as we watched the polls close.
