This past weekend, I spent time away with the girls hiking fog-covered mountains, sipping sweet craft brews + enjoying the fresh outdoor air encompassing all that is Colorado. This state is one I frequent every year over the holidays, but making a visit sans the snow was a real treat. So, today i’m here to share in snapshots {and words!} a few highlights of my adventures in Denver, Boulder + Fort Collins…

DAY 1-

DAY 2-

  • Woke-up and made the short, and beautiful drive towards Boulder
  • Made a caffeine stop at the quirky, but quaint Boxcar Coffee Rosters
  • Despite the rain, spent several hours pursuing Pearl Street, exploring shops and enjoying the vibrant + scenic stroll along the way
  • Stopped for a late lunch + a quick brew at Mountain Sun Brewery, a pub complete with local elements + decor
  • Had plans to journey to Estes Park, but were deterred due to the rain; will be looking to stop at this famous monument {for any Shining fans out there!} on my next visit!

DAY 3-

  • Traveled towards Downtown Denver, a drive complete with the Rocky Mountains looming in the distance
  • Visited Union Station {with hopes of stopping at the highly-reviewed Snooze for brunch}, easily one of the more beautiful buildings i’ve seen + definitely worth the visit
  • Trekked down the block for a food stop, a traditional establishment that was quick to satisfy hungry stomachs
  • Made a scenic tour around the city, stopping by the Botanical Gardens, Art Museum + State Capital {I was completely impressed with the beauty of the buildings in the city- there was so much to do/see!}
  • Explored the high-end attractions + eateries of the Cherry Creek shopping district

Overall, Colorado lived up to it’s expectation of being the perfect getaway for a weekend of full of fresh air and outdoor exploring. Regardless of the season, i’d recommend a visit for a quick trip with the girls or a few days full of family adventures. Until next time…
