6 easy outfit ideas for your holiday party

Cue the champagne, holiday party season is in full swing. From a style standpoint, this is the one time of year when I don’t hold back; the more plaid, metallic-tones and sequins, the merrier! As I’ve started planning for the parties ahead, I’ve found myself in the same predicament I’m faced with every year: a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear {why does this always seem to be the case?}

With this in mind, I’ve pulled a few holiday outfit inspirations appropriate for a variety of gatherings. From whimsical tulle skirts to deep-tone velvet dresses, finding something fun and fashionable to wear can be easy and afforable. In fact, i’ve recreated each look in options under $100, because more money saved makes for a more cheerful you!

Enjoy this most wonderful season full of celebrating!

1. Power Tulle

A full and flattering skirt is the secret weapon to a fun party outfit. I love these (1/2) affordable options paired with a lace blouse. Just add a sparkly statement necklace + strappy heels to complete the look.

2. Faux Fur Fab

Ever since enduring the winter of the polar vortex, i’ve steadily accumulated a collection of faux fur vests. Both practical and fashionable, they make the perfect addition to an outfit during the colder months. I love the idea of layering this budget-friendly faux fur vest with a simple sheath dress in a red tone for an stylish holiday statement.

3. Look in Leather

You can’t go wrong with a LBD, especially one with this unique leather twist. As soon as I found this rendition {currently on major sale!} I knew I just had to recreate the look. Complement it with a fun necklace and rose-gold pumps and you’ve got an edgy holiday ensemble.

4. Plaid Pairings

This look combines two of my fashion loves: plaid and sequins. Typically taboo to wear together, the holidays are the one time of year these two just seem to sync. Pair a festive red plaid top with a sparkly skirt to create the ultimate “casual-glam” look.

5. Sequined Statement

Adding emphasis to a basic black dress can be as effortless as throwing on a sequin blazer. This option in black looks classy, without being too kitschy {an easy route for this glitzy piece to take.} Style with a basic gold clutch + heels to let the jacket do the statement-making.

6. Vested in Velvet

I have a major affinity for velvet right now. Luckily, it’s a seasonally appropriate trend that can really leave an impression without much embellishment {aka more $$ saved.} I’m loving this pick {and you’ll never believe where it’s from…} finished off with a pair of statement earrings.
