My Trick To Finding a Dress For Wedding Season

Wedding season just kicked off for Ryan and I, and between planning flights, hotels, gifts and other details, dresses are one thing I always save until the last minute. After a recent day-before-the-wedding shopping experience gone wrong {short girl problems}, I decided to commit to a new strategy moving forward: dress rental.

Rent the Runway is a service I’ve been using since college for holiday parties, work events, and weddings alike. Their shipping is fast and reliable, so even when I wait until the last second {we’re talking mere days before the function}, I can still get a fab option shipped straight to my door. And since they send you two sizes, I can rest easy knowing one of the styles will fit my frame.

However, the best part of the whole experience is the money I save! I’ve convinced myself too many times to splurge on the stylish shift I’ll wear “more than once,” only to have it never see the light of day again. With RTR, I can dance the night away knowing I look my best, and saved some $$$ for the cash bar in the process {now that’s something worth celebrating!}

Below, I’ve rounded-up a couple favorite Rent the Runway options to inspire some ideas for your dress search. Enjoy the hunt + happy shopping!
